The Women’s Leadership Council is collecting new and gently used books to hand out to children during the 4th of July parade. Research shows that children who grow up in households where books are plentiful go further in school than those without books.
How you can help?
Drop off books to the United Way Office, located at 208 W 2nd Street, Suite 201 by June 29th
Host a book drive at your place of work. We have a flyer and drop off location sign you can download.
Host a jeans day at your work place and donate the proceeds to United Way to purchase books.
