Earlier this month, we had about 70 women attend our annual Women’s Leadership Council Lunch. Attendees learned about the successes that the WLC has had over the past year. They also learned how we can make an impact on some of the most important education issues our community is facing: chronic absenteeism and kindergarten preparedness. Speakers at the lunch were: Brandy Olson (WLC Chair), Dr. Riibe (MCSD Superintendent), Gayle Roberts (Stanley Consultants), Janet Sichterman (Kent Corp) and Joni Axel (WLC Advocate).
