Equity is at the center of United Way of Muscatine’s work. We believe in fairness and justice in our processes and procedures, as well as in how we invest our resources. We oppose systemic racism, ethnic discrimination, and other forms of oppression, and recognize their role in contributing to gaps in outcomes. Closing these gaps is a key target in our goal to increase self-sufficiency through education and training, and affordable and sustainable housing. We strive to engage diverse Muscatine community members, especially those from historically marginalized groups, to better ensure the equitable outcomes that are necessary for the growth and success of everyone in the Muscatine community.
